Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004) IMDB rating: 4.10 Plot: In New York, the ambitious Dr. Jack Byron and his associate Gordon Mitchell present the research of his assistant Sam Rogers to the CEO and board of directors of a corporation to sponsor a scientific expedition to Borneo. The objective is to find a flower, Blood Orchid, that flourishes for a couple of weeks every seven years and could be a fountain of youth, prolonging the expectation of life of human beings. They are succeeded and once in Borneo, they realize that it is the raining season and there is no boat available to navigate on the river. Fire Down Below (1997) IMDB rating: 4.30 Plot: EPA agent Jack Taggart is Stunned to hear from his boss Phil Pratt that his best friend and fellow agent Frank Elkins has been found dead in Kentucky after Frank’s truck plunged into a river. The Kentucky State Police believes that it was an accident, but the EPA believes it was no accident. It all began with an anonymous letter from the small town of Jackson, Kentucky. Frank was sent to Jackson to investigate what the letter described as some kind of pollution that is causing fish to die and causing people to get sick enough to die. Frank sent back water and soil samples that all tested off the charts for toxic substances. After Frank discovered that the Hanner Coal Company, owned by Orin Hanner Sr., is being paid to dump toxic waste into an abandoned coal mine shaft, Frank ended up dead. On the next day, when Jack goes into downtown Jackson, he meets Betsy Hamill and her twin sister Patsy Hamill. Jack then walks down the street and introduces himself to Cotton Harry. Then Jack takes some water samples. At church on Sunday, Bob introduces Jack to everyone, and tells everyone that Jack is a carpenter. During lunchtime at the church, Jack introduces himself to Sarah Kellogg, a local outcast who is a beekeeper. Sarah has a brother named Earl. Jack goes to Sarah’s house and offers to repair the steps on her front porch. Over time, Jack comes to believe that something is bothering Sarah, and it’s something dark. My apologies for the length ha ha.

Alright. I have had the same dream four or five times in the past week. Each time I have it becomes more detailed. This series of dreams has appeared absolutely real and it has started to worry me. I want to here your opinions on this. This is all that I can remember from last night’s dream:
Tow of my friends and I ( we are all sixteen) were sitting in my living room watching a Minnesota Twins Game. We had just sat down, and the game was just getting underway when an explosion filled the screen and it went black. After about a half a minute of confusion, the Emergency Broadcast System came on and informed us that major US cities had been attacked and that all citizens should remain calm, prepare for evacuation, and wait for further instructions that will soon follow. My parents and siblings were on a trip to Mexico so I called them and they said they would fly back in as soon as they could. My friends and I got together food, water, blankets, flashlights, maps, etc and I called my aunt who lives in remote northern Minnesota and told her we would probably be heading up to her place when we got the evacuation notice. Within seconds of my call the president came on the television and warned that our defenses were crippled, that the military was mobilizing and being recalled from foreign shores, and that citizens should remain alert and find a safe place of refuge. Somehow, I skipped what took place next and was at my aunt’s house. We (my three friends, aunt, and I) were all sitting around the table praying for the war to end soon. We then ate meager servings and went to bed while one person took up a watching position out on top of the barn. Once again I skipped over a large period of time. I was with one of my friends and we were surrounded by thousands of citizens and National Guard soldiers in tanks and APCs. Vast amounts of explosions and gunfire could be heard to the west. We were all waiting for dusk it seemed, as soon as the sun had dipped below the horizon we charged forward. There were thousands and thousands of us, and we were all moving to crest a hill. As soon as we neared the top I could see fires all across the landscape and in the distance the sillhouette of the Minneapolis Skyline. The city was smoking. sprawled out below us were the burning hulks of American and Russian tanks, and the smell of rotting corpses was present. Just then, a machine gun emplacement opened fire and tore up the downslope in front of us. Dozens of people fell, including my friend, and a tank soon dispatched the nest. The sorrow, and then anger I felt from the loss of my friend was undescribable. It was horrible! But I couldn’t stop, we had to charge on. Within minutes we were nearing downtown. Bullets and rockets were flying. A soldier came over and told me to head to an office building where I would meet up with a sniper platoon ( I had a scoped deer rifle) I sprinted up the flights of stairs and came to a landing where a soldier directed me to a large room. All the windows were blown out on the one side and there were two or three dozen people waiting with rifles at hand. Down below we could see dozens of Russian soldiers. "OPEN FIRE!" We started spraying their positions and they began to flee, with tanks and soldiers in pursuit. Overhead, the sound of bombers. They opened their bomb bays and let loose on the retreating russian columns. Victory swelled in our chests. We had won back the city! But everything went to shit in an istant. A bright light blinded us, and a few miles out of the city a MASSIVE explosion grew and soon swept over us. Another bright light ensued, and soon I was seeing memories from my past. I was at a family reunion on my Aunt and Uncle’s farm. All my family members wre laughing and having a great time. The sun was setting across the wheat field, and the bails of hay on the rolling hills looked so serene. Next, I was at a baseball game, cheering on my teammates. It was a cool summer afternoon and the sun was setting behind the big oak trees at the far end of the field. Finally, I was at the county fair and the sun was setting once again across the lake. The entire dream ended, with the Russian Flag being raised in our town square, and Russian soldiers marching down main street. I saw my parents and sibling on the sidewalk with a look of utter despair on their faces. I knew I had let them down.

Now can anyone tell me the significance of this?! I think I am fucking going crazy!

What should I get my boyfriend for his birthday?
Okay. So me and my boyfriend have been dating for a little over two years and I need to figure out what to get him for his eighteenth birthday, but the thing is he has this sort of weird thing with me spending money on him. Like he feels really guilty and gets a little frustrated with me. But we were also dating for his sixteenth birthday (which is another big deal birthday) and I only got him a Dane Cook dvd/cd set, which I feel was an inadequate sweet sixteen present. And, that other catch is he moves to a different state a while back so we’re dating long distance for now (we’re pretty close to graduation and we’re going to the same college). So it has to be something I can mail to him. So I simultaneously need to make up for an inadequate sweet sixteen gift, not make him freak out over money, and send it to him in the mail.

His interests include:
-video games (xbox 360, he really likes halo, and this one UFC game he has.. and unfortunately I don’t know much about his video game taste..)
-guitar (both electric and acoustic, and yes he is a total badass at it)
-comedy movies (step brothers, pineapple express, the hangover, superbad, etc..)

That’s all I can come up with for now as far as material objects go. I might add more later.

Lookout, The (2007) IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry.
